Our special Ramadaan development plan.
Book your tickets for Youssra Kamel Kandil's Seminar in Cape Town (12 Feb) here.
To help you make the most of this blessed month, we'll be running a Ramadaan development plan. The programme will be made up of two streams:
Importantly, this self-improvement programme is completely custom-made: you will be doing the work yourself – taking into account your own personal circumstances, weaknesses, abilities, and schedule. We’ll prompt you to take a deep, honest look at these aspects of your life, delve into root causes of issues, and come up with realistic, gradual changes you can implement to raise yourself in the year ahead.
Each day, we’ll send out a daily graphic via social media (and on this website). Your mission – if you choose to accept it – will be to take some time out of your day (or night) and work through the day’s task.
The areas we’ll focus on for the daily tasks will be:
You can carry out the tasks in whatever medium suits you – whether that’s writing by hand, recording audio or video for yourself, or typing your own notes using the weekly worksheets we provide on this site.
We’ll also post useful resources related to each area, in case you need some inspiration to boost your efforts.
Your ultimate outcomes will depend on your own level of effort. We advise you to start with the right intention, ask Allah for guidance and assistance, and give it your best shot each day.
If you find that you’re struggling to keep up, don’t despair. You can work at your own pace – even if it means that, instead of four areas, you end up only working through one or two.
The goal is not to burn yourself out trying to get it all done: it’s better to do something well – with quality, rather than to simply do a lot without the proper depth or effort.
Our hope is that by the end of the month, you will have taken stock of these four key aspects of your life, and will be well equipped to make lasting, practical improvements in at least one of those before the next Ramadaan arrives.
