“Rightfully, as a Muslim community we are extremely obsessive about eating halaal and that is important. However from an investment or financial product consumption perspective, we unfortunately not at that level yet.” – Saliegh Salaam
This interview with Saliegh was fascinating. We were glued to our seats and wanted more. In fact our community poured in questions, via different platforms, prior to this interview for shariah compliant advice and he delivered indeed. Check out the Facebook live interview here.
He is the lead Fund manager and champion of Shari’ah products (equity and multi-asset) since 2007. In addition, Saliegh is also the lead fund manager on Old Mutual High Yield Opportunity Fund (Managed volatility) and co-fund manager on Managed Alpha Funds. The liaison for Shari’ah board and Shari’ah product partners & a member of the boutique Exco and Sales committee.
20 years of financial markets experience encompassing the entire investments value chain, from dealing, equity analysis, portfolio management and leadership. He is a mentor, husband, father and he can go deep from a philosophical perspective and we loved it. No spoiler alerts.
P.S – Saliegh will be a speaker at our Cape Town Leadership Conference at the Baxter Theatre on the 30th September 2017. You may purchase your tickets here.
